About WWF Climate Witness

The Climate Witness Programme is WWF’s initiative to document the direct experiences of people who are witnessing the impacts of climate change on their local environment.

Through Climate Witness, WWF connects with people around the world and provides them with an opportunity to share stories about how climate change impacts their lives here and now.

By demonstrating that climate change is already affecting the lives of a growing number of people today, we can bring a ‘real-life’ perspective to what many view as a somewhat ambiguous and distant threat. This will help us to promote effective solutions to climate change.

All Climate Witness stories are reviewed by a member of our Science Advisory Panel to ensure that all the stories we collect are consistent with the latest science on human induced climate change.
